§ 001 / Tokyo · Paris Atelier
- 01Why Tokyo Founders Choose ParisTokyo couture appreciation is among the highest in the world. Buyers value construction detail that mass production cannot deliver. Paris atelier work with hand-finishing, French seams, and bound interiors matches what Tokyo buyers already expect at the couture price point.
- 02Local Markets We ServeAoyama / Omotesando designer studios, Daikanyama boutique brands, Ginza luxury retail, Shibuya creator-economy fashion. From Aoyama-grade couture to youth-driven streetwear, Tokyo founders work with our atelier where Japanese mills cannot match the small-batch construction we offer.
- 03Currency, Payment, CustomsAll quotes in USD or EUR. Wire transfer, Stripe, or Wise. Japan import duties on textile imports are modest; we provide HS codes, certificates of origin, and full DDP documentation when needed.
- 04Timeline From TokyoCapsule launch from a Tokyo brief: sketch to shelf in 12-20 weeks including air shipping. Paris-to-Narita typical three to four business days. Translation support available for technical documentation if the founder prefers Japanese.

§ What Happens After You Send Your Project
No black box. No sales call. Just a written reply.
Auto-confirmation lands in your inbox with your project ID. It is logged for the founder.
Personally, not a customer-success layer. Feasibility check against current calendar and atelier capacity.
Fixed price, line-itemized, with timeline. Or a written explanation if we are not the right house for the work.
No pressure. No follow-up calls. If you proceed, deposit confirms the commission. If not, no harm done.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is swimwear cut differently from RTW?
Yes. Swimwear uses four-way stretch fabrics, fully overlocked seams, bar-tacked stress points, and a different pattern math (negative ease, fit-on-body). We have dedicated swim patterns and sampling protocols.
What is the minimum?
Five units per style with the design fee paid up front. Each colorway is a separate cut so each adds to the unit count.
How are cups handled?
Standard molded foam or pad-pocket. Removable pads available. For underwire we use bridal construction. Custom cup molds carry a 4-week lead time.
Can I do my own print?
Yes. We source sublimation through European mills. Submit print files at 300dpi at finished-garment scale. Sublimation MOQ on print runs is typically 50 meters.
How long is the timeline?
Twelve to sixteen weeks for a swim capsule, including print sourcing, sampling, and production. Rush is possible if print is in-stock.
What's the typical pricing?
From $85 per unit at the production-only floor. Most swim styles in Italian power-mesh land $120–$220 per unit at premium grade. Add design fee ($2,500/style) for the five-piece minimum.
How quickly do you actually reply?
Within 48 business hours. Median response time is 18 hours. We respond from the founder's inbox at [email protected]. If you do not see a reply in 48 hours, check spam.
Do I have to talk to anyone before I get a price?
No. The first interaction is a written quote in your inbox. We do not require a discovery call before pricing. Some clients prefer to talk after the quote lands; that is fine but optional.
Who owns the patterns and tech pack?
You do. Full intellectual property transfer to you after final payment. The pattern files, tech pack, grading, and BOM are yours. We retain an internal archive copy for reorders only.
What if I cancel before production?
Design fee paid before sampling begins is non-refundable once design work has started. Production deposit is refundable up until cutting begins. After cutting, the materials cost is locked in. We tell you clearly at each stage.
Can I see the fabric before sample?
Yes. Fabric swatches ship to you for sign-off before sampling begins. For commissions with custom fabric sourcing, lead time is 4 to 8 weeks for swatches.
